When Margaret Metcalf was born on May 8, 1864, in Missouri, her father, A., was 32, and her mother, Margaret, was 31. She married Charles Selden Stiles on March 5, 1894, in Kansas City, Kansas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on February 19, 1913, in Shawnee, Kansas, at the age of 48, and was buried there.
