Om din släkting i Tennessee var tillräckligt gammal för att rösta 1891 (och man) kan den här databasen vara en bra ersättning för 1890 års folkräkning.

This database contains a Tennessee state enumeration of all males age 21 and older as of 1 January 1891.

Historical Background

This state enumeration of eligible voters in Tennessee was ordered by the state’s general assembly in January 1891. The governor was to appoint commissioners in each county to take a census of all males who were age 21 or older in their resident counties as of 1 January 1891. The timing makes these records useful for filling in the gap caused by the loss of the 1890 U.S. Federal Census.
