The American Battle Monuments Commission is responsible for twenty-four American cemeteries located in foreign countries. The names of these cemeteries are:

  • Brookwood, England
  • Cambridge, England
  • Aisne-Marne, France
  • Brittany, France
  • Epinal, France
  • Lorraine, France
  • Meuse-Argonne, France
  • Normandy, France
  • Oise-Aisne, France
  • Rhone, France
  • Somme, France
  • St. Mihiel, France
  • Suresnes, France
  • Florence, Italy
  • Sicily-Rome, Italy
  • Luxembourg, Luxembourg
  • Mexico City, Mexico
  • Netherlands, Netherlands
  • Corozal, Panama
  • Manila, Philippines
  • North Africa, Tunisia

In addition, the Commission maintains twenty-five memorials or monuments located in Belgium, Cuba, France, Gibraltar, Morocco, New Guinea, the Philippines, Saipan, Solomon Islands, and the United States.

The Commission keeps a listing of casualties buried at these cemeteries and recorded on these memorials including those who were reported as Missing in Action from both World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam Wars. This database is a partial copy of this listing, including records from each of the twenty-four cemeteries, the Honolulu Memorial, and the East Coast Memorial. It also only contains records from WWI, WWII, and the Korean War. There are over 33,000 servicemen listed in this database who died during WWI, about 72,000 who died in WWII, and nearly 32,000 who died during the Korean War.
