 Koreakriget, krigsfångar 1950–1954

This database contains information on U.S. servicemen who were prisoners of war (POWs) during the Korean War. Because these men were POWs they were also considered casualties. This collection is an amalgamation of two databases--one originally created by the Department of Defense and the other by the Veterans Administration. The following information is included in these records:

  • Name of POW
  • Serial Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Date of Capture
  • Date of Release
  • Place Captured
  • POW Camp
  • Dossier Number
  • Rank
  • Source (indicating which data set this record originally came from

Note: Because this database is compiled from two sources, not all of the above information will be available for each individual. Also, sometimes the information is unknown in the original sources.
