Biographical Sketches of the Union Army Commanding Officers

This database contains biographical sketches of all the commanding officers of the Union army. It also contains a history of the raid of John Morgan in the free states and the flight of Jefferson Davis from the rebel capital. It was the author's intent to condense history and to furnish only what would interest and contain matter of intrinsic value. It was also his intent to preserve the history of the noble deeds and noble men of the Union commanders.
